Etching, 1933, Duffy 173, edition 50 (30 printed) 10 7/8 x 14 1/4 in. Signed and dated in pencil and with the inscription "trial proof" in the lower left corner of the margin. This is a superb impression with small, slightly irregular margins. The condition is fine. This unusual proof impression is before the upper left corner was filled in and there is blank space around the small horse on the right side. The image is most effective and as appealing as the finished plate. It provides fascinating insight into Cook's working methods.      SOLD
