Fire Scene at Night (New York)
Aquatint with etching, 1904, edition unknown. 9 7/8 x 6 7/8 in. Signed and dated in pencil. Inscribed "To my friend Howard with Best Wishes." This is a superb impression of an incredibly rare print. The paper is a thin Japanese paper with wide and probably full margins. Condition is excellent. Shinn produced very few original prints and this is one we've never seen before. It's a quintessential Ash Can School image.
