Drypoint, 1915, Zandvoort number unknown, edition unknown. 7 7/8 x 5 7/8 in. Signed and dated in pencil. Inscribed "2st" referring to the second state of probably two. This is a superb impression of this cubist era print. The margins are full and the condition is fine apart from minor staining along the top margin. Schelhout's work is illustrated and discussed in Ackley's 2014 book, Holland on Paper in the Age of Art Nouveau, Pages 212-213. He was one of the very few Dutch cubist artists.

Drypoint, 1914, Zandvoort 28 (ii/II), edition 26. 5 3/4 x 7 3/4 in. Signed and dated in pencil. Inscribed "2st" for the second state of two. The print is titled in the lower right corner probably by another hand. This is a superb impression of this early, uncommon print. The margins are full. The condition is fine apart from a faint suggestion of a mat line from an earlier mount. Schelhout's work is illustrated and discussed in Ackley's 2014 book, Holland on Paper in the Age of Art Nouveau, Pages 212-213. He was one of the very few Dutch cubist artists.

Drypoint, 1918, Zandvoort catalogue # 70, edition 20 in two states. 7 3/4 x 7 3/4 in. Signed and dated in pencil. This is a superb impression with full margins. The condition is excellent. This impression inscribed "2st." meaning second state (of two). Schelfhout excelled in the drypoint medium and his best work consisted of these subtle, modernist landscapes which remind us of the early work of Mondrian and also the prints of Jan Toorop. In fact, Schelfhout shared a studio with Mondrian in Paris and he helped introduce cubist aesthetics to Holland. His graphic work is included in the catalogue, The Cubist Print, 1981.

Drypoint, 1912-13, Zandvoort Catalogue 15 (v/V); edition unknown. 14 3/4 x 12 1/4 in. Signed, dated and inscribed "5st." This is a superb impression of this large, rare print. The margins are full and the condition is fine. Schelhout's work is illustrated and discussed in Ackley's 2014 book, Holland on Paper in the Age of Art Nouveau, see pages 212-213. He was one of very few Dutch cubist artists. Regarding the subject of this print, Les Angles is a commune in southern France.

Drypoint, 1916-1919, Zandvoort 54 (ii/II), edition 31. 6 3/8 x 4 7/8 in. Signed and dated in pencil. Inscribed "2st" for second state of two. This is a superb impression with full margins. This is a superb impression with full margins. The condition is fine apart from a very faint suggestion of light toning within an older mat opening. Schelfhout's work is discussed on pages 212-213 of Holland on Paper in the Age of Art Nouveau, by Cliff Ackley (2014).
