Etching and aquatint printed in colors, 1920-1930, edition unknown. 9 1/4 x 18 3/4 in. Signed and titled in pencil. This is a fine atmospheric impression of this large print. The margins are full. The condition is very good apart from a small waterstain in the upper margin, well away from the image, and mild foxing on the verso. The artist excelled in color printmaking. He lived and worked in Amsterdam, Italy, England and Belgium. He spent time at Katwijk aan Zee, the same beach town where Jan Toroop resided. He studied at the Kunstnijverheidsschool in Amsterdam from 1903-1906. This is an exceptional example of his work.
