Drypoint, 1920, Paff 189, edition 150. 8 x 11 7/8 in. Initialed in the plate and signed in pencil. This is a superb impression; rich in burr. The margins are full and the condition is fine. This is one of Benson's most "artistic" non-sporting works.

Drypoint, 1923, Paff 217, edition 150. 10 3/4 x 13 3/4 in. Initialed and dated in the plate, lower left. Signed in pencil. This is a superb impression rich with drypoint burr. The margins are full. The condition is fine. The large work exemplifies Benson's command of the drypoint technique. As a gifted painter and watercolorist, he was able to translate his painterly brush skills to this difficult intaglio medium.

Drypoint, 1920, Paff 176, edition 150. 3 x 2 in. Signed in pencil. A fine impression in fine condition. (There are two small, old hinges at top corners but they are not at all obtrusive.) The margins are full. This is a wonderful Benson print; small, but a gem.

Drypoint, 1928, Paff 278, edition 150. 13 3/4 x 11 5/8 in. Signed in pencil. Here we have a fine, luminous impression printed on off-white laid paper with a partial watermark "England". The margins are wide. The condition is very good other than minor rippling in the margins and a slight trace of old tape adhesive in the extreme right edge of the right margin. This large, exemplary work is a masterful example of Benson's painterly command of the drypoint medium.

This is a superb impression printed on cream-colored Japanese paper. The margins are full. There are three published states of this print and each impression is numbered. This is Benson at his best working with drypoint as an almost painterly medium.

Drypoint, 1928, Paff 285, edition 150. 9 7/8 x 7 3/4 in. Initialed and dated in the plate. Signed in pencil, lower left. This is a superb impression rich with burr. The margins are full and the condition is fine. (There's an ever so slight suggestion of toning within an early mat opening.) This beautiful print shows Benson as a master of the drypoint medium. He was a gifted watercolorist and this print displays the painterly characteristics of a Japanese brush painting.

Yellowlegs No. 4
Drypoint, 1928, Paff 284, Ordeman 284; edition possibly 150. 7 7/8 x 9 7/8 in. Signed in pencil. This is a superb impression with full margins. The condition is excellent apart from traces of old hinges at the two top corners. There are five trial proofs and the total edition is not listed in Paff. Ordeman suggests and edition of 150 but this is not a common print.
