Woodcut printed in colors, 2001, edition 30. 16 x 20 in. Signed, dated, numbered and titled in pencil. This is a fine impression with full margins. The condition is also fine. Rich's work is inspired by traditional Japanese woodblocks. It differs in that she uses both multiple blocks and the reduction method in which a single block is carved, printed and re-carved multiple times. Instead of watercolor her blocks are printed with oil based inks. Her work is highly sophisticated with vibrant colors and beautiful designs. The editions are small as the process, from beginning to end, is extremely labor intensive. She designs, carves and prints all her own work.       SOLD
