Etching and aquatint printed in color, 1993, edition unknown. 8 1/4 x 11 3/4 in. Initialed in pencil. This is a superb impression of this powerful print. The margins are full and the condition is excellent. Janssen is widely considered one of the finest draughtsmen and printmakers of his generation. His work is found in a vast number of museums in Europe as well as here in the United States. This includes the Museum of Modern Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. He's had exhibitions at the Rembrandthuis Museum and the Leopold Museum in Vienna. Depicted here is a mother and child seemingly overwhelmed by an intense rainstorm.       $650
