Woodcut, 1916, edition unknown but small. 19 1/4 x 15 1/8 in. Signed in pencil. Numbered and dated as follows, "No.6 (12-1916)" This is a fine luminous impression printed on Japanese paper. The margins are full and the condition is fine. This stellar woodcut shows the influence of Japanese prints which were exhibited in Europe at the time. The artist was friends with Theo van Hoytema and he produced a woodcut portrait of Theo which we currently have available.      SOLD
