Etching, 1903, Wuerth 285, edition probably 35. 8 1/2 x 11 in. Signed and titled in pencil. This is a fine impression printed on antique laid paper. The margins are full but the top margin is very narrow. (This is often the case with Pennell who was not terribly concerned with the width of margins, as long as the plate fit on the sheet.) The condition is very good although there's a small speck of rust on the edge of the platemark along the bottom. This lovely print was produced the year Whistler died and it's a fitting tribute to the style of an artist he so deeply admired.      SOLD
