This is a superb impression of this rare early work, printed on cream wove paper. The margins are full. The condition is excellent apart from minor handling marks in the outer margins only. (The printed surface is pristine.) Masereel was one of the preeminent Belgian expressionist printmakers. He was prolific and most of his prints were small and published in books. Large, early, pencil signed works such as this are very hard to find today.
