Peacock in a Landscape
Etching, undated, edition probably about 50. 17 1/8 x 26 in. Signed in pencil. Inscribed "model" in pencil. This is a superb proof impression with full margins. The condition is very good apart from slight wrinkling and minor repairs in the margins. Gerbrandts produced several large, decorative works with birds as subject. He lived and worked in Amsterdam and after 1921, in Haarlem. He studied with Jan Visser and F.W. Nieuwenhuis.
