Damrak, Amsterdam Etching, 1895, Dupont 40, van Wisselingh 305; edition 100. 8 1/2 x 15 5/8 in. Signed and numbered in pencil. This is a fine, rich impression printed on a simili Japon paper. The margins are wide and probably full. Excellent condition. Dupont studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam and in 1896 he moved to Paris to perfect his etching skills. He became a professor of graphic arts at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam in 1903. Damrak today is a partially filled in canal running between Centraal station in the north and Dam Square in the south. $1,250 |

The condition is excellent. (The paper is VAN GELDER ZONEN.) This expertly crafted print was done in Paris and it's part of the series depicting working horses called "L'Outillage." $900 |

Haystacks along a Towpath (Hooischelven aan het Jaagpad) Etching, 1895, Dupont 38, edition 100. 8 x 13 in. Signed and numbered in pencil. This is a fine impression printed on a large sheet of cream Japanese paper. The margins are full and the condition is excellent. Dupont's etchings were largely published by E.J. van Wisselingh, Amsterdam, who also published the work of Witsen and Bauer. This fine, early etching shows the Rijksmuseum in the distance at right. Dupont's work is discussed in the recent publication, Holland on Paper in the Age of Art Nouveau, (2014) by Cliff Ackley, pages 168-171. SOLD |

Oude Kerk Tower, Amsterdam (Oude Kerkstoren te Amsterdam) Etching, 1907-08, Dupont 103, van Wisselingh 313; edition 100. 17 3/4 x 7 7/8 in. Signed in pencil. This is a fine, luminous impression printed on fibrous Japanese paper. The margins are substantial and possibly full. The condition is fine. This exquisite rendering of the Oude Kerk is from the collection of P.W. van Doorne (Lugt 4731). This is Amsterdam's oldest building having been founded in 1213. $1,500 |

Prinsengracht in Amsterdam Etching, 1895, Dupont 42, van Wisselingh 302; edition 100. 8 1/2 x 9 3/4 in. Signed, dated and numbered in pencil. This is a very fine, dark impression printed on a large sheet of cream wove paper. The margins are full and the condition is excellent. The plate was published by van Wisselingh, Amsterdam. This exquisite, finely detailed plate is representative of his best street scenes done in Amsterdam. In 1903, he became a professor of graphic arts at the Rijksakademie. $1,500 |
