Woodcut, 1922, edition 30. 5 1/2 x 5 in. Signed and titled in pencil. A fine, rich impression with full margins. Some discoloration on the back of the sheet. Minne, along with Alex Lallemand, Frans Masereel, Karel Maes, Jozef Cantre and others, was one of the outstanding Belgian modernist printmakers from the 1920s and 1930s.

Woodcut, probably 1930s-1940s, edition 150. 10 x 6 in. Initialed in the block, lower right. Signed, titled and numbered in pencil. This is a fine impression in excellent condition. The margins are full. Minne was born in Ostend. He was one of the five principal artists who illustrated "Lumiere" which was first published in Antwerp in 1919. The other artists were: Frans Masereel, Jan Cantré, Henri van Straten and Jozef Cantré. Together they founded Les Cinq (The Five). Minne was one of the preeminent blockprint aritsts in Belgium during this period. He took up sculpture after 1940.

Woodcut, 1931, edition 35. 13 x 11 in. Signed in pencil. A superb impression. Full margins. Very good condition other than slightly light struck within a previous mat opening. Minne is one of the most important figures of the Belgian modernist movement. He was co-founder of the periodical "Lumiere" (1919) and in 1969 was named president of l'Academie Royale de Belgique. He was also a fine sculptor. A major retrospective of his work was held in 1988.

Symbolic Scene with Race Cars
Woodcut, probably 1930s, edition 100. 10 3/8 x 8 in. Initialed in the block and signed in pencil, lower right. This is a fine impression on wove paper (the watermark reads PANNEKOEK, HOLLAND). The margins are full and the condition is very good other than a mild crease in the lower right margin area. Minne was an important Belgian expressionist printmaker who was the co-founder of Lumiere (1919). He was president of the Academie royale de Belgique in 1969.
