Young Lady with an Umbrella (Fillette à l'Ombrelle)
Etching and aquatint printed in colors, 1910, edition 10 12 1/2 x 9 3/8 in. Signed and dated in the plate. Signed and numbered in pencil. Here we have a fine impression printed on sturdy wove paper. The margins are substantial enough but somewhat trimmed and the condition is fine. Boutet de Monvel's exquisite, work is illustrated and discussed in From Pissarro to Picasso; Color Etching in France (1992) by Dennis Cate and Marianne Grivel. He worked with Eugène Delâtre as his printer.
